I cannot view pictures from my sd card on any computer even when I employ a usb cable but the pictures tin be viewed on the photographic camera, what could be the trouble and what should I do?

3. Can you re-create the pictures to your pc?

I ran into the same problem today! Information technology took me forever to effigy it out merely it ended up beingness very elementary. I accidentally had the camera fashion set to "clipboard" when I was taking the pictures. This saves the pictures to the photographic camera and non the SD carte. I had to select each flick individually and relieve information technology to the SD bill of fare on the camera earlier transferring the SD card to the computer.

So bill of fare reader doesn't work? Hmm. plugged in correctly? hmmm. what format pictures? some cameras have weird ARW formats, like mine.

GOT Information technology!!!!

Your pictures are not on the SD card, but on the camera itself. In order to view them. Remove the SD carte, then attack the photographic camera to the PC via USB cablevision

Ok ...here is your answer. You may take deleted the SD cards formatting. I have done this before when I am deleting pictures and a wipe out ever affair to save time ...don't. And then to fix put the SD back into the camera and from the Bill of fare options ...select format SD menu ...or it might only say format carte. In one case the card has been reformatted it volition piece of work again on your computer. YES you will lose all data on the card when you lot practice this

I had the same problem. Formatting the bill of fare is what worked for me. However, I had moved my pictures to the card already so they were deleted!!! Ouch. Be sure you move your pictures dorsum to your camera before doing the formatting! I'yard glad to accept figured it out though. Thanks for all the assistance!

I tried this with a couple of motion picture viewers to no avail.

Same camera, same USB cable, when continued to my Window 7 desktop, reads the pictures just fine. The camera shows upward as a continued device, simply when I click on the directory where the pictures should be, it says "empty", even though the file browser shows 150 Megs of data in use.

I tried this because a friend, who just upgraded to 10 was unable to download from his photographic camera to post pictures for an eBay auction, so I said I would endeavour it and I'm having the same matter. This needs to be fixed right abroad as it'due south a deal breaker for a lot of folks.

Same here on windows seven machines I can view my pictures only on my windows 10 machine it cant meet the pics even though its on my camera and I tin view

kind of a round about method but worked for me..

Open my estimator and add the drive (retentivity bill of fare) to archive or cipher it..
Extract the files to a binder...washed!

i had the same trouble with my Nikon. My solution was to just buy (my school'due south creative photography teacher lend me his) a card reader, plus the SD into it (since the trouble is accessing the SD from the camera, take out the middle man and add a new one, the card reader), and voila. Y'all volition see that this will work (hopefully) because it is the ONLY thing that worked for me. Let me know if this helps

I FOUND THE ANSWER. They're in a different file. I used to click on DCIM which took me to all pics and vids. When I pull out the SD carte du jour of my newer camera and put it into my PC I accept to click on SDHC, then Individual, then AVCHD, and then BDMV, then STREAM and all vids are in in that location. It's and so stupid but at least they're there!
